About This CME Teaching Activity
The Breast Imaging and Interventions Update provides a practical overview of breast imaging and interventions by leaders in the field.  Subjects being covered include:  diagnosis of breast pathology using mammography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging; interventional procedures including core biopsies of breast imaging, current trends in patient management and optimizing your breast imaging program. Multiple case review sessions emphasize the didactic content presented throughout the program.

Target Audience
The course is designed for practicing radiologists who wish a comprehensive review and update of breast imaging and breast interventions.  The course is also appropriate for radiology residents and fellows in breast imaging.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this CME teaching activity, you should be able to:
  • Discuss the controversies and future opportunities in breast cancer screening.
  • Review the current and future multimodality BI-RADS lexicon and reporting schema.
  • Optimize your breast imaging practice efficiency.
  • Describe the advances in preoperative location techniques, stereotactic and US guided breast biopsy.
  • Discuss current trends in the management of breast cancer.
  • Explain the applications of precision medicine and radiogenomics in breast cancer management.
  • Explain new technologies in breast imaging including contrast enhanced mammography, Artificial Intelligence, and tomosynthesis.
