This CME teaching activity is designed for radiologists, musculoskeletal imaging specialists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of shoulder conditions. It is also appropriate for residents and fellows seeking to enhance their knowledge of shoulder imaging.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this CME teaching activity, you should be able to:
  • Discuss the role of MRI and ultrasound in the evaluation of shoulder pathology.
  • Review imaging approaches for rotator cuff disease and other common shoulder conditions.
  • Explain imaging evaluation of shoulder instability, including associated soft tissue and osseous abnormalities.
  • Describe imaging assessment of the postoperative shoulder, including arthroplasty and repair.
