Educational Objectives
At the completion of this CME teaching activity, you should be able to:
- Utilize strict and well-defined criteria in the evaluation and diagnosis of thyroid follicular lesions.
- Discuss the newer aspects of molecular alterations in thyroid neoplasms.
- Render a diagnosis based on pattern recognition of thyroid FNAB specimens and formulate a broad differential diagnosis.
- Describe the basic technique and pitfall avoidance of fine needle aspiration thyroid biopsy performance.
